There is only one tip that matters here. Anywhere but where the tourists go. If you really want to experience the Philippine cuisine then stay away from tourist spots. True, the sign outside the door will say authentic food cuisine but it is not. It is overpriced and made for customers that the cook knows will probably never return. Philippines never go there.
The best food is always in restaurants that the locals frequent. The portions are bigger and less expensive. The waiter will speak spotted English, but that is all you need. You cannot go wrong with Philippine food. Point to something on the menu and enjoy. Or as you walk into the restaurant have a look at what other people are eating. Then when the waiter comes point and asks to have 'what she is having'.

Food: The food is Capampangan, which is is arguable the most original and savory of FIlipino cuisine. Most well known of the pica pica (appetizers) are the squid tactics - sliced and quickyl friend squid sprinkled with brown garlic in a sweet and spicy sauce. three entrees alwys ring customers back: firt is the binukadkad na crispy Pla PLa, a spread eagled fried tilapia served with balo balo, a pungent shrimp pate, and fresh mustard leaves. The second is crispy tadyang, which are marinated, deep fried beef ribs, made very crispy and tasty. The third delectable entree is the knockout knuckle, a whole leg of pork deep fried in garlic and chillies. For those seeking more healthful options, Bistro Remedios offers a whole host of steamed or lightly simmered delicacies from the sea.
Wine: The list is adequate. There are wines from the main wine growing regions. Markups are reasonable, but the bottle condition may be an issue.
Service: The wait staff know the menu well and consistenyl provide very good service.
Price: Very reasonably priced. Clearly not a tourist trap.

Service: The proudly dedicated staffs are the same teams that have served the legarda family through the years. And are highly trained to attend promptly to their guest's needs.
Price: Prices are according to your prearranged pleasure of the main course - any choice of which is very reasonable and commensurate with the enchanting experience.

Setting: MArket Cafe is a cosmopolitan surprise to the distinctive palate. The excellently lit spacious halls are coloured with warm cream tones, maroons and lovely textures, making it very comfortable.

Wine: The wine selection, together with other drinks is displayed in the chiller strategically located along the hallways. Selection is diverse, classiication is widely ranged. The management recommends the very fruity, very inviting Sutter Home 2004.
SErvice: we requested a hoice of wine for the salmon dish and were given a quick rundown of the wine selction, ending with a self assured recommendation of a wine that did not disappoint. The market cafe team is highly trained.
Price:It is a small price to pay for the wine and impeccable service that is as well planned as the dishes.
